Executive Adviser, Australia
Craig Welch has over three decades of business experience in Australia and Asia as a consultant to Government and Enterprise, and as Chairman and Director of a number of public and private companies. His IT experience includes a variety of roles with IBM, managing the initial Australian presence of Sun Computer, and establishing the Teradata marketing activities of NCR Japan.
When based in Singapore, Craig was Head of Technology Marketing Asia Pacific for Visa International, and then went on to successfully represent a number of companies in the Asia Pacific region. These included Digicash NL and BroadVision, Inc. He consulted extensively to Unisys Japan on its foray into large systems, as well the as the Singapore Government on eCommerce security and the Chinese Government on the mechanisms of credit card schemes. On his return to Australia, Craig became Managing Director of Sausage Software, Australia’s first listed Internet company. Over the following two years, Sausage grew from a single product company with 35 people and revenues of $5 million, to an eBusiness solutions house with over 1500 people, revenues of more than $150 million and a market capitalization of more than $2 billion. He has served as a director of several Australian public and private companies as Chairman and or non Executive Director including Byte Power Group Limited, Bambuu Limited, EPS Software Pty. Ltd., Digital Now, Inc. (US based), Sausage Software Limited (nonexecutive director following his term as Managing Director), Cards Etc. Pty. Ltd. and Jobsjobsjobs Pty. Ltd.
An interest in flying helicopters led to the formation of Welch Aviation, a rotary wing maintenance and scenic flight operator based on the Sunshine Coast.
Craig’s interests include flying, pistol shooting, and crosscountry running. He also develops software for the teaching of Japanese characters, which is sold into the Japanese corporate market.

Executive Adviser, Hong Kong
Harry James draws on more than 35 years’ experience in corporate communications and media, having served organisations across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the US.
After working as a mainstream journalist for UK newspapers such as The Sun, Mail on Sunday, Daily Star and London Evening Standard, Harry joined British Telecom and became Vice President of PR and Media Relations, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. He was subsequently appointed Head of Corporate Affairs at the Bahrain Telecommunications Company Ltd (Batelco) in the Arabian Gulf, before becoming Vice President, Corporate Communications for PCCW Group in Hong Kong. In 2004, Harry established his own corporate communications practice, providing a range of services to organisations such as PCCW Group, Computer Associates, Hutchison Whampoa, McKinsey & Company, Gulf Air, Allen & Overy, Shure Global and Fidelity Investment. Harry has won industry recognition that has included Global ARC Silver and Bronze Awards, as well as British Industrial Editor Awards for Excellence and the coveted UK Newspaper Society Feature Writer of the Year Award. Operating in Asia since 1999, Harry has established a solid track record for meeting the needs of multinational corporations and enterprises in terms of PR campaigns, media representation, crisis management, strategic planning, branding projects and B2B/B2C customer communications.

Executive Adviser, Hong Kong
Mike Sherman carries with him and impressive background in marketing and market research and analysis, spanning a career of over 30 years.
Having spent a number of years with Procter and Gamble Mike joined McKinsey & Company spending over seventeen years with the practice initially in New York then moving to the Hong Kong office in 1997. Whilst in New York he established the McKinsey Global CRM practice. In Hong Kong, Mike worked extensively across the Asia Pacific region specialising in brand and new product development, pricing and marketing research. Mike went on to join Synovate focused on strategic market research and data analysis linked to driving superior business outcomes. He continues to drive this focus as Global Director of Knowledge Management and Insights, working extensively in Asia but also in the UK and around the world.
Amongst his many passions Mike continues to play an active role in AFS-USA a not for profit organization focused on building intercultural understanding via student exchanges. He was an AFSer to Turkey in 1974 and later on a Board member, including a period as Chairman.
Mike holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar) in addition a BS and BA degrees from the Wharton School and College at the University of Pennsylvania.

An experienced international manager with a career spanning 30 years, Tim Tyler is based in Sydney working across the Asia Pacific region.
Until early 2007, Tim was the managing partner for Peppers and Rogers Group AP, a practice he founded in Singapore in 2000, and a senior manager of their then parent, Carlson Marketing, where he headed the 1to1 Division. Prior to this Tim was a Senior Vice President at MarketData Solutions, a decision science specialist subsidiary of Grey Worldwide, where his major client was a major multi-level-marketing retailer in Asia. Prior to founding Peppers and Rogers, Tim held executive positions across Asia with well known IT organizations such as Baan in Japan, Masterpack, Marcam and Cincom Systems. Most recently Tim has been helping clients with a range of relationship marketing initiatives, including the groundbreaking use of social networks as a channel. Tim’s recent & current clients include; an Australian diversified retailer, an apparel retailer, a multinational cosmetics manufacturer across Asia Pacific and the Singapore Health Promotion Board. An accomplished and entertaining workshop moderator and speaker, Tim has conducted numerous Relationship Marketing workshops across Asia Pacific.
